THE SPOOKY SCARECROW
It was Halloween the spookiest day of the year, me and my friends Hrijoy and
Agniva were going trick-or-treating. We were all wearing different costumes,I
was wearing a ghost costume, Agniva was in a joker costume and Hrijoy was
donning a spiderman costume. We went from house to house often getting
excessive toffees and chocolates, suddenly Agniva spoke-“How many houses
are we going trick-or-treating ? “he asked “10 houses” I replied “No 20“ Hrjioy
said, I nodded . Our school DPS RUBY PARK gave us three holidays, so we were
going trick-or treating for 3 days, while I was thinking how many houses we
should go for the rest of two days, Hrijoy interrupted in my thoughts “Can
somebody come with me to the public toilet ?,I have to poop. He said . “Sure, I
can come” I replied. “I will wait till you come” said Agniva “OK” said Hrijoy.
Hrijoy and I went to the toilet, while he pooped. I Peed in another bathroom.
We came back after 5 mins later, but to our horror Agniva was gone ! His
basket in the ground. Hrijoy and I yelled for him “Agniva where are you !?” we
shouted but there was no answer. Hrijoy yelled for him again and again, but
there was no sign of Agniva. But suddenly our ears caught a whistle and it
reminded of some legends I heard that is all scarecrows in Halloween and
search for kids to take them back to their fields. We ran as fast as we could ,to
Hrijoy’s house. And Hrijoy ran to the bathroom to hide and I hid under a bed,
and I heard a whistle, and suddenly the scarecrow appeared right in front of me and I fainted.

“ভয়ংকর কাকতাড়ুয়া “
সেদিন ছিল বছরের হ্যালোউইন ভয়ংকর দিন।অনেক টা ভূতচতুর্দশীর মতো। আমি,আমার বন্ধু হৃজয় আর অগ্নিভ বাড়ি বাড়ি ঘুরতে বেড়োলাম।আমরা সবাই ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ধরণের জামা কাপড় পড়েছিলাম। আমি একটা ভুতের জামা পড়েছিলাম, অগ্নিভ একটা স্পাইডার ম্যান এর পোষাক পড়েছিল।আর হৃজয় একটা জোকারের পোষাক পড়েছিল। ভয়ংকর কাকতাড়ুয়া যাতে আমাদের চিনতে না পারে তার জন্যই এই সব জামা কাপড় আমাদের পড়া।আমরা যখন বাড়ি বাড়ি ঘুরছিলাম তখন সব বাড়ি থেকে আমরা প্রচুর টফি ও চকোলেট পাচ্ছিলাম।অগ্নিভ তখন জিজ্ঞাসা করলো “আমরা কতগুলো বাড়ি ঘুরবো? আমরা কি দশ টা বাড়ি ঘুরবো? ” আমি উত্তর দিলাম ” না কুড়ি টা বাড়ি”।হৃজয় মাথা নেড়ে বললো না আমাদের আমাদের স্কুল ডি পি এস রুবি পার্ক যখন তিন দিন ছুটি দিয়েছে তখন আমরা তিন দিন ধরেই বাড়ি বাড়ি ঘুরবো। তখন আমি বললাম” তাহলে আরও দু দিনে কতগুলো বাড়ি আমরা ঘুরবো? “হঠাৎই হৃজয় কথার মাঝখানে বলে উঠলো “কেউ আমার সাথে একটু পাবলিক টয়লেটে যেতে পারবি?আমার পটী পেয়ে গেছে”। আমি বললাম আমি যাচ্ছি। অগ্নিভ বললো “তোরা যা আমি বাইরে তোদের জন্য অপেক্ষা করছি “।তারপর হৃজয় যখন পটী গেল আমি পাশের টয়লেটে হিসু করে নিলাম।পাঁচ মিনিট বাদে যখন আমরা ফিরলাম তখন দেখি এক বিশাল আতংক যে অগ্নিভ নেই।শুধু তার বাক্স টা মাটিতে পড়ে আছে।হৃজয় খুব চীৎকার করে চেঁচাতে লাগলো ” অগ্নিভ তুই কোথায় “? আমরা খুব জোরে জোরে ডাকতে লাগলাম। হৃজয় বারংবার চেঁচিয়ে চেঁচিয়ে চীৎকার করতে লাগলো কিন্তু হায় অগ্নিভর কোনো চিহ্নই পাওয়া গেল না।কিন্তু হঠাৎই আমাদের কানে একটা হুইসেল বেজে উঠলো এবং ভয়ংকর হ্যালোউইন কাকতাড়ুয়া যেন জানিয়ে দিচ্ছে তারা সব বাচ্ছা দের ধরে নিয়ে গিয়ে তাদের জমিতে বসিয়ে দিচ্ছে। আমরা খুব দ্রুত হৃজয় দের বাড়ি চলে গেলাম।হৃজয় বাথরুমে গিয়ে লুকিয়ে পড়লো। আর আমি খাটের নীচে লুকিয়ে পড়লাম।হঠাৎই আবার আমার কানে সেই হুইসেলটা বেজে উঠলো এবং হঠাৎই সেই ভয়ংকর কাকতাড়ুয়া আমার সামনে এসে দাঁড়লো আর আমি তৎক্ষণাৎ অজ্ঞান হয়ে মাটিতে পড়ে গেলাম।
